I Moved In!

Last Tuesday, I picked up my van from OZK Customs, and of course, I drove blissfully off into the sunset without a care in the world... Now for the real story!
The Real Story

Actually, I was a bundle of different emotions... Think nervous excitement!
I was thrilled to get the van, but the responsibility of actually learning how to use everything was now staring me directly in the face.
I made videos as Alex patiently showed me how to operate the app for the solar and alternator battery, how to use my very cool, Modiwell dry flush toilet, the fresh water tank, grey tank, Dometic refrigerator, and more! My head was spinning as I slowly left the parking lot.
I am sure they didn’t expect to see me on their doorstep the very next morning… and neither did I!
However, the battery was losing power rather quickly, and it was way beyond my pay grade to solve the problem. Alex, the main expert on the battery system,
was out of town. Several other staff members assured me that something was wrong and that I hadn’t missed something very simple.
I met Alex yesterday morning, and he immediately diagnosed the problem and solved the issue. The alternator battery needed a factory reset, and the button was inside the bed box underneath the circuit breaker… oh yeah, I was thinking that… not really.
First Road Trip!

Friday, I headed to Branson to practice with Terry in the van. We needed to set up everything: lights, sound, keyboards, etc. I watched the EcoFlow Solar app like a hawk, and I stayed off-grid for two days until I could get back to OZK yesterday morning.
As I carefully watched the battery app, I thought about my own body battery. I have never monitored it as well as I have the EcoFlow! My personal mission and body battery were set to solve the problem and learn how to boost the van battery!
Five Extension Chords Later…

Check the far right-hand corner and you will see 98%!!!!
I picked up the van one week ago, and as I finish writing this post, I just now hit 100% charged. It only took multiple trips to Lowe’s, Bass Pro Shop, and many more to finally get the extension cord that was just right. At 8:30 last night, I finally had a match, only to discover it was 4 inches too short and I could not back one inch closer to the house!
Yippee… back to the store AGAIN.
I have been a hot, sweaty mess for a week. Why did I tell you all of that? To keep it real.
I am thrilled to move in, but moving in has been a learning curve filled with beauty and sweat!
Van Reveal - Tomorrow Night!

Love to see you there! Be aware that OZK sits very far back from the road so it’s easy to miss the turn. Watch for some sprinter vans sitting close to the end of a long driveway and you will be there.
Very Cool - Unity Tulsa- Midtown, Sunday
In January, I spoke and mentioned that I was thinking about getting a van as part of my personal journey to authenticity. In March, I returned and a shared that I just bought a van. This Sunday, I am delighted to be speaking and singing in Tulsa and I will be traveling there IN my van!
Unity of Tulsa - You are special indeed and you have been first in many of my adventures!
I have so many other cool things to share, but I am trying to keep the posts short.
Thanks for reading and sharing.
Blessings on all your adventures.
May they be filled with fun and a lot less sweat than mine!
Love and hugs,
