Congratulations Terry Laird!
Terry has been nominated as Branson’s Keyboard Player of the Year. I I have been wanting to brag about him for a while, and this is the perfect opportunity.
Terry Laird’s professional career began in 1974 with a phone call from a high school friend inviting him to join the gospel quartet The Master’s Four as pianist. What started
out as a single opportunity became an 18-year journey, during which Terry also served as the group’s manager. The group eventually evolved into The Texans, starring in their own hit Branson theater show while also appearing on Nashville Now and the Grand Ole Opry. During their remarkable run, The Texans performed more than 200 shows a year, recorded 25 albums, earned multiple Texas Susie Awards, and were honored by the Branson Music Hall of Fame.
After stepping away from music for nearly a decade, Terry returned to the stage in 2003, performing with the Lawrence Welk and Andy Williams show. Through those productions, he had the privilege of accompanying an extraordinary list of legendary entertainers, including Glen Campbell, Charo, Ann-Margret, Petula Clark, The Texas Tenors, Barbara Fairchild, Marty Robbins, Dale Evans, Anita Bryant, and many acclaimed gospel artists.
Since then, Terry has performed with or directed numerous Branson favorites, including the Rankin Brothers, Jerry Presley, Elvis Show, the Neil Sedaka Show, Colour My World (A Chicago Tribute), Diana Lynn, Carpenters Once More, and Keith Allen A Neil Diamond Tribute.
Today, Terry continues to perform with A Neil Diamond Tribute, Carpenters Once More, and Jerry Presley’s Elvis Show, while also writing and recording original music with Toni Crowder. After more than five decades in music,Terry considers himself truly blessed to have shared the stage with so many outstanding artists and believes the journey is far from over.
