Yikes! - It Was A Close Call

It was late in the day when I noticed the yellow warning ⚠️ sign that my tire was low.

It was rapidly deflating, and I was in a small town with only one gas station.

In just a few minutes, my back tire went from 65 pounds to 30 pounds. It should be about 80.

I hurried to the gas station and tried to fill the tire with air. The gash in the tire was so large that every time it reached about 50 pounds, it would immediately start deflating again.

There was only one Walmart in town, and it would be closing soon. I was the last customer in the automotive shop, and they literally turned the lights out as I left.

By the time they could work on my tire, it had 12 pounds of air. Needless to say, patching the tire was out of the question. They put a temporary tire on the 🚐, and I literally went from the back of the Walmart automotive department to the front parking lot. I didn’t want to drive at night on the temporary tire, and I had to get to a bigger town the next day to find the correct tire.

And that, my friends, was my first introduction to sleeping in a Walmart parking lot!

Bridge to Paradise - Griffith Valley - Pure Honey Music Festival 🐝

I can’t believe it’s only been two weeks since I posted about performing at the Lake Anna Jazz Festival.

I have traveled so much since then that it seems like it was months ago, and I don’t even know where to begin.

Has this happened to you?

I am so caught up in trying to tell the “best” or “right”

inspirational story that I haven’t shared anything. 😀

I have also been deeply engrossed in every project and person that I visited, so there’s been very little time to be on the internet. Sharing my tire experience is my attempt at crossing the bridge of “trying to get it right” and simply begin.

Each of the following stops could fill an entire post with numerous pictures and stories.

If anything is of particular interest, I am happy to share more with you.

P.S. Congratulations to Marquette and Ted on their wedding last weekend!

Super cool that they played one of our original songs, “ I Can Recall,” at their wedding.

We are honored that they asked for our song, and I can’t wait to see pictures of their big day.

“I Can Recall” will be released on our album.
