In May, after leading a Mindfulness of Singing retreat and an intense co-writing experience in Nashville, I was ready for some much needed R and R. I landed in a very sweet spot at the Honey House in Woolwine, VA.! While I never met Kerielea, (cofounder of the festival) I had the pleasure of getting to know her through the loving stories of her husband Anthony. Inspired by Anthony’s stories, I wrote a song while I was at the Honey House and I will share it at the festival.
Here’s the festival buzz:
The 6th Annual Pure Honey Music Festival will be held Oct, 10th – 12th this year!
We are going to continue to celebrate and honor the life of the amazing woman behind this amazing event, our angel in heaven, a beautiful soul, a mom, daughter, sister, aunt, wife and friend Kerielea V. Byrd as well as donate any proceeds raised to Healing Wheels, a local non-profit organization who provides transportation to cancer patients to and from treatments.
We have a TON of awesome musicians for this year’s line up, you won’t want to miss it!!

We are hoping that you will come for the two days music is playing! Bands will begin on Friday, Oct. 10th at 5:30pm so make sure you get to the Valley early on Friday!
You won’t want to miss out! We will have BBQ being sold both Friday and Saturday, along with alcoholic beverages for sale! Music will begin at 12pm on Saturday, Oct. 11th! Saturday we will be doing a pot luck for dinner (along with the BBQ being sold)! We ask if you plan to be in attendance Saturday late afternoon/evening to please bring a shareable dish for all. Get those yummy recipes ready!!! (Throw away containers are HIGHLY encouraged for easy clean up & please keep in mind power outlets are limited)
50/50 raffle tickets will be available for purchase for a chance to win along with a raffle for ONE special prize!
Festival merch will also be available for pre-order!
Camping spots are available for both tents & campers! (campers there are no hookups, generators encouraged)
