What’s Your Word?

Do you like to pick a word for the year? Some people like to choose a word as their North Star or mantra for where they want to make an emotional or spiritual journey in the coming year. One year I chose "explore," and I ended up in Italy, Ireland, and India. Yes, our words do have power, and I am thrilled with the journey of exploring I made that year.

My word for 2026 is "Authentic."

Being the "author" of one's life—acting according to internal values

rather than external pressures.

YES! I think by now I am old enough to make my own decisions, and yet I still frequently find myself acting according to external pressures of who I am supposed to be. I carry this tiny stone in my purse as a reminder to continue stepping into the true authorship of my life.

In the spirit of true authenticity, I pulled that stone out of my purse and plopped it on my knee to take a picture and send it to a friend. I thought a little reminder of love and authenticity might be necessary while I was sitting at the DMV recently! ;)

Blessings on your word and your journey!

Coming Soon! - Album Cover

Songs by TNT - (Toni Crowder and Terry Laird) toe-tapping, hand-clapping songs to inspire your spirit and peaceful melodies to meditate and relax or maybe even fall asleep.

True story. Terry and I were listening to our first finished piece through headsets. I kept looking over to make sure he was awake. He said, “I can’t help it; that piece makes me relax.” He said maybe we should have a warning label for that song - “Do not listen while operating heavy equipment.”
